| New Zealand - glowworm caves at Waitomo Robert and Courtney Schafer Dec 2006 Click here to return to the main page Our first full day in New Zealand, we went caving in the Waitomo area with Waitomo Adventures. We chose to do the "Lost World Epic" trip, which started with a 100m abseil (rappel) into the cave and continued with several hours of scrambling, jumping, swimming, and squeezing our way through a really cool cave. We also saw tons of glowworms, although sadly I don't have any pictures of those. I only have a few pictures because we couldn't take our camera - the guides brought one and took a few pictures during the trip. The guides (Iain and Tony) were awesome and we really enjoyed the trip. |
